Ruka-v2 is a new open-source, tendon-driven dexterous robot hand, featuring a wrist and abduction, designed to overcome the bottleneck of inaccessible hardware in robot learning. Building upon the original Ruka, an 11-DOF humanoid hand costing under $1,300, Ruka-v2 continues to offer an affordable and accessible platform. Its predecessor introduced a novel data-driven approach for finger control, making this iteration a significant contribution to advancing human-level dexterity in robotics.
