Summary

Researchers have introduced KidGym, a new interactive 2D grid-based benchmark designed to evaluate Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) in continuous, trajectory-based interactions. Accepted to ICLR 2026, this benchmark addresses the limitations of static evaluations by organizing tasks into five child-inspired cognitive dimensions, similar to the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children.
